George Colin Pastel Found Paper Collection 1-5-1982

George Colin Pastel Found Paper Collection 1-5-1982

An early pastel by George Colin, this is from the "Found Paper" collection. This pastel measures 17.5" x 23" and is mounted onto a 19" x 26" white poster board. This piece is signed by Colin & dated on the front. The artist did not number the piece, so we are using the date finished as the number. Unframed.

This is one of George Colin's earliest and quite rare works on "found paper". When George first began, he considered paper too costly for his simple life, so he illustrated his works on paper he could find from discarded packaging. Many of the "found paper" pieces have advertising on the other side from that packaging.
