Here is one of the select coins from one of our special buying trips. The attractive high eye appeal and surfaces of these rather unique coins are of superior quality for the assigned grade. In our searches at the numerous coin shows we attend, we buy only 2 out of 100 of the coins we look at. So what you are getting is the cream of the cream from a wise and discerning eye. All of these coins we would buy for our own collections, so keep in mind that each coin offered here has to get past our eyes before it gets to yours. Enjoy!
This selection is an 1880-S Morgan Dollar. Certified by NGC as MS 64 (Mint State 64). A very pleasing coin, with reflective fields, and contrasting frosty devices on both obverse and reverse. Not indicated on the holder, but this coin is actually semi Proof like. Obverse has slightly deeper mirror than the reverse. Both have excellent cartwheeling luster. No marks noted on Liberty, with only a couple found in the fields. One long spot is noted behind Liberty’s ear. The reverse has pleasing mirror, similar to the obverse. Only a few small marks in fields. Great field to device contrast. One spot noted in right field near the eagle’s wing. Original color and patina. An excellent, pleasing, certified coin to be a stand-out addition to your collection. Thanks for looking. Enjoy. WDEA-03
