Here is a 1912-S Liberty "V" Nickel. This is one of the key coins to the set, and is certified by PCGS as Genuine, Scratch - VG Details. The rim has a small rim bump at 11 o’clock. The noted scratch is behind Liberty’s head to the 3 o’clock rim. The last year coin of this series, the only year these were made at the branch mints, and the first year the nickel was made at the San Francisco Mint. A very low mintage coin, with only 238,000 of these minted. Strong denticles, except at upper left obverse, with four partial letters of LIBERTY found. A few marks in fields noted, but none detracting. Reverse has strong details, with a few marks around the V. Clear mint mark, with strong denticles, except for upper right. A mostly mark-free and spot-free example of this rare date. Original color and patina. A welcome addition to a nearly complete set of Liberty Nickels. Thanks for looking. Enjoy! WDEC-06
