Shield Nickels 1866 & 1867 No Rays Dbl Die VG to F Coins WDED-47

$45.00

Here is a lot of 2 different dates of Shield Nickels. You get the 1866/1866 Doubled obverse and the 1867 No Ray Doubled obverse coins. Two coins for your set of the first nickel 5 cent coin the US ever made. The 1866 doubled obverse coin is the Cherry Pickers 001.3 variety. This has Fine details, with corrosion. Some inner shield details found, with date and motto clear. The reverse has a lot of details with strong rim letters, and star details under the corrosion. Some rim bumps noted. The 1867 No Rays has Very Good details, with some damage on the reverse consisting of a few deep marks in left field. This is a doubled die obverse of date, arrows and the bottom of the shield. Mostly only outer details found, with no other marks or spots noted. Full retail on these two coins is about $70.00. A good addition to a set of these early nickel coins. Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
