Here is a lot of 3 different dates of Shield Nickels. Two of these are Very Good, and one is Very Fine grade with light corrosion. A great start on this set of the first nickel 5 cent coin the US ever made. You get the following year of these : 1866 (first year, with the rays on the reverse), 1867 With Rays Variety, and the 1867 No Rays Variety. The 1866 grades Very Good, with an uneven strike making details on obverse left weak, and details at 5 and 11 o’clock reverse weak. Shield details worn but mostly visible. A rim bump noted at 1 o’clock obverse. The 1867 with Rays has Very Good details, and light corrosion making color a bit dark. Shield details worn but visible. The reverse has very weak details at center. The 1867 No Rays coin is the best of these at Very Fine details with light corrosion. Color mostly original, with the corrosion showing as darker spots on the reverse, and a few on the obverse. Very strong shield details on obverse, with star centers strong on the reverse. Full retail on this group of coins is about $100.00. A good start on a set of these early nickel coins. Thanks for looking. Enjoy! WDED-46
