Here is a 164-year-old pendant style watch that does not run. The balance wheel turns, tries to run when I rotate it in my hand back and forth, but it quits. I notice that is winds continuously, so I believe the main spring is broken and needs replaced. It needs to be cleaned and serviced, as well. The sterling watch case has a known hallmark (at the base of the henge) that tells us it is sterling. A cool piece of history!
