This is a gorgeous vintage ZUNI Native American made cuff bracelet. Made of sterling silver, this beauty has smoothly scalloped edges with a stamped design. The center of the cuff features a channel inlay of blue lapis, black onyx, mother of pearl, turquoise & a dark purple charoite. The inside is stamped with a maker's mark that could be GA or CA. There is old black permanent marker pricing and inventory number that can be removed with rubbing alcohol. The bracelet measures 2 1/8" in inner diameter, 1 1/8" opening at back, 9/16" depth all around, 5 1/4" inner circumference. Total weight of the cuff is 25.1 grams/16.1dwt.
This jewelry is not pre-owned, which also means that it is not used. It is new, but may look pre-owned because of the natural toning/patina it has taken on in storage in the last 16 years. It is normal for silver to take on a color after being exposed to the air for some time. Rather than take all the time to polish it up, since we have so much, we are just leaving it as untouched nostalgia. The buyer can decide if they would like to polish it up. Some of it actually has the old black magic marker pricing written on the underside still.
We bought a large collection of beautiful Native American jewelry from a client who's family had owned a retail shop for Native American made goods. Both our client & his family shared such a love for this stuff! It had spent 16 years in storage before we acquired the entire collection. So, there’s the story about this fabulous collection. We hope you enjoy looking at the many pieces of it. It truly is amazing!
