This is a vintage Native American made sterling silver cardinal necklace pendant. The cardinal is carved from coral stone and set into white mother of pearl. The flower petals and buds are carved from turquoise, and the leaves are carved from abalone. The inlay measures 28mm long x 20mm wide. The base of the pendant is sterling silver. The back is stamped Mary R Smith with her maker’s mark. The pendant measures 1 5/8″ long x 1 3/8″ wide. Total weight is 17.4 grams/11.2dwt.
This is a vintage, previously owned pendant. Therefore, light wear can be expected. There is no visible damage.
