Here is a 1917-D Standing Liberty Quarter. One of the scarce "Type One" coins, with “bare breast” on Liberty, and the eagle flying low on the reverse with no stars under. This type has the date on the raised pedestal, which was very subject to wear. We grade this coin Very Good. Moderate wear noted, with the date readable, but worn at top. Central shield details worn, with some wear on the rivets on the left. All of the beaded design is found around the rim, with some weak spots. There is considerable wear on the eagle's wings on the reverse, with inner wing details found only in wing on left. No marks or spots found, but color is darker and uneven. More wear noted at 7 o’clock rim. A pleasing coin that would fit well into a mid-grade set. Enjoy! Thanks for looking; we are grateful. WDED-54
