This Antique, Victorian fob has gold filled metal pieces in the center and on the ends of the "chain" which is made of human hair that has been woven. Used as mourning pieces as or a love token, women's hair was woven or braided into jewelry pieces. This particular one has a card with it that has states that the previous owner's grandmother has this made for her husband with her hair. He hung his watch from it, as was the style back then. The hair has been broken in places. Most noticeably as the end near the bar. The fob measures almost 11.5" long. The hook is marked 1/10 on the outside.
