Here is a large Hampden 18 size pocket watch (nearly 2 1 /4 inches across) serial #254857. This is a model 2 grade 31 full plate 11 jewel. This is a beautiful old hunting case movement in a Fahys Oresilver watchcase dated 1884. This watch is a lever set full plate movement. I see 2 small hairlines in the watch dial. One at 5:30 and one at 11:30 and a chip at 6:30 which do not affect the look and performance of the watch. The thick glass crystal has a chip around 7 o’clock. This watch was built for the rugged construction, mining and trades industry to serve as a reliable and accurate timepiece in the late 1800’s industrial revolution. The watch is in good condition considering it has survived those 141 years. The mechanical (winding type) (141) year old watch winds, runs and keeps accurate time over the 24 hours I timed it….
