Antique American Waltham Gold Pocket Watch ETC10142

This is an antique American Waltham gold filled hunting case pocket watch. Serial #10902832. This watch was made in 1901. This is a 6-size watch (about 1 1/2" in diameter) with 15 jewels, 3/4 plate, 7 jewel stem set movement in a 14K marked gold Orient watch case. We do not believe this watch case is 14K, however. The inside dust cover is too hard to be 14K gold and it did test NEGATIVE as gold. We believe it to just be gold filled. The watchcase is absolutely beautiful and looks new. The 3 hinged openings are all tight as they should be on a new watch. The mechanical (winding type) watch is fully wound and does not run, but the balance wheel does turn when I shake the watch.
