This is a large 1906 South Bend watch movement in Really Nice condition J R Wood & Sons New York 14K gold filled 25-year watchcase. This is 16 size watch, 51 millimeters or over two inches across the front to the watch. The (118) year old watch serial #446694 that was made in 1906 is what is known as a 16 size 7 jewel 3 /4 plate lever set nickel movement. I see a hairlines and damage between 7 and 8 and 10 and 11 o’clock on the dial. Condition wise, the watch is in restorable condition given the time. The mechanical (winding type) watch is fully wound and tries to run slow then stops after several swings on the balance wheel. I can hear the movement move a little when I shake it back and forth. Note: carrying or wearing these types of mechanical watches helps keeps them running on time.
